We started day one with a trip on the free ferry across the Mississippi to Algiers - a village of old buildings and the Jazz Walk of Fame along the levee. We returned to the City and spent the rest of the day wandering round the French Quarter finishing our day with supper and a concert in a jazz club.

Pleased to hear that you did not use the carriage! Very interesting place, New Orleans.
ReplyDeleteWhy not Auntie Ellie? I was thinking they probably didn't do a carriage tour because Dad would have said it was too expensive!! ;)
ReplyDeleteit's probably the only form of transport they haven't taken this holiday!!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking more of the poor horse. I'm and English woman who doesn't like to see horses do this sort of thing!
ReplyDeleteI don't do it cause the horses smell. Dad
