Franz Joseph Glacier

Our first day in Franz Joseph it poured with rain all day so didn't do much except enjoy the thermal pools.  Today was totally different clear and sunny and we did a guided walk up to the Glacier.  For a number of reasons we only did the half day walk which as it turned out was probably enough as we didn't get back until 3.30 p.m. and we were pretty exhausted.  It was a fantastic experience though.  Now in Greymouth in a lovely little campsite by the beach and warm enough to have a BBQ and eat outside.
